My Company Wants To Offer A Vacation In A Raffle With Open Dates. Can’t Find Anything. Please Help.?
I work for a mortgage company and we want to set up at a boat show. If you’ve been to a conventoin, booths that offer giveaways get the attention. I have been searching for a vacation package that we can offer in a grand prize drawing, but I haven’t found one that isn’t date sensitive. I know that it is possible because I’ve seen the packages offered as prizes at various shows that I have been to. I would love any information that any of you can provide so that I can offer a good package to the public.

Hello,
I think your best bet will be arranging each part of the vacation seperately. You can buy a plane ticket directly from an airline that is open ended and the winner will be able to use the ticket whenever they can travel. And you can contact hotel chains and do the same thing. If you have a specific destination in mind contact hotels in that area otherwise you can use a company like Marriott residence inn or Holiday Inn, since they have hotels in almost every city in the Nation. If you do have a specific destination you can also contact the Chamber of Commerce in that city and ask them to direct you to the correct Department that will send you their visotors pack that will almost always include coupons for free or discounted theme park, retuarant and show tickets.
Good Luck

You could still raffle off the vacation, then the person that wins can choose what they want. Don’t purchase anything yet, just look at what your prices would be for different times of the year.
There are vacations offerred, I believe, that don’t have a specific date, but you will probably pay a lot more. I know this is the case for air tickets.
Just look at your options and prices. Then, set up what you are willing to offer at your booth. The person that wins then gets to pick their dates. If it is sold out, then the have to choose another date. I think most people that win a trip like this could be pretty flexible with dates. But anytime you win something, there is a lot of fine print like this, so it wouldn’t be uncommon.

hmm that is a tricky question since most base their prices on the time of year. Try AAA they should know how to help you. Good Luck!
