Have u ever won anything from those raffles they put at malls or other stores? like a car or $$ or something..?
I filled one of those things out and put it in that box thing about 2 months ago at a mall and i just got a call today saying that i was a winner of a car, money or a trip. But I am so naive, the only time i win stuff is at baby shower games.lol i just have to go take a tour of some resorts that they have for premotion, but i did ask them even if i dont agree to anything am i still guaranteed a price and they said yes. any advise, im going tom morrow. thank you in advance.

My dad bought two two dollar raffle tickets at a car show once, and he won a car … a Camero I think. I don’t win good things like that though. Be careful about those resort tours though .. sounds like one of those time share scams.

These are not what I would call “legitimate raffles” . . They just want names and addresses of people so they can hit you with the hard sell, and make a profit. . . DON’T SIGN ANYTHING. . . If it sounds too good to be true. . it usually is not true !! Oh, you will get something for your time. . that is the law ! It might be a ball point pen with their name on it. . LOL. . . but mostly these are scams !
Edit. . . I forgot to mention I did win a trip for 2 to the Grand Camen Islands about 15 years ago. It was a contest on the radio.. . I had to pay $500.00 in taxes, but everything was free except food and souvenirs. I had a great time !!!

I once brought a $2.00 raffle ticket for a HYUNDAI Excel in my wife’s name and she won. Which was a good $2.00 investment because the price of the car came off her share when we got divorced.

When I got into a raffle at a grocery store for a new car it was a fraud. I didn’t read the ultra-fine print and what I did was change my telephone long distance carrier to a very expensive one. Nothing is for free.

No but I did win 1800 from a local bar last week from their 1 dollar a week drawing. I was pleasantly surprised.

No but got a lot of annoying telemarketer calls after they sold my phone number. Most of them are SCAMS.

Those are just a ploy to get people to come for their “HIGH PRESSURE” sales pitches. Everyone that enters those “win” something.
Your “prize” will be a small amount of money or an overnight stay at a condo they are trying to sell to you.
Good luck and don’t sign anything no matter how much they get in your face!

My husband and I once put our names in a raffle at the mall for a car, and of course, didn’t win the car. This turned out to be a high pressures sales gimmick for time shares. Never again.

no i don.t get in any i think they are all illegal unless its something in my own town.
my 76 yr old brother in law got in a mess with some of the wall and entered a contest and lost $9000.00 which they charged to his cc # which out of hoping he would win loads of money lost his money,
them people prey on the elderly..
we have tried time and again they are illegal but he won;t listen
