u can do something involving selling a person for a day to the hiest bidder

why don’t you try a ‘silent auction’ for talents? Like one person can be good at babysitting..so you put down a clipboard for parents, to bid on that person to babysit for a few hours…and like bet on a guy to help you with shopping or something … and pay them.

how about the usual easy things like a bake sale, school t-shirts, hats etc – jewellery

    barbecue day

family fun day – group babysitting to give parents a day/night off

table sale – ‘sell’ tables for a set fee, buyers use this to sell their own good – you then run a barbecue, hire bouncy castles etc..

I have had great success meeting fundraising goals through silent auctions. Nowadays you can run one will little administrative work by holding it online. I like using http://www.32auctions.com for running free silent auctions. The auctions are quick and easy to set up and you can reach more people than just running a live auction.

There are so many ‘service’ ideas that you can auction off along with the typical donated items. For a school fundraiser, I’ve found many participants enjoy bidding on something the principal or teachers will do (yard work, shave mustache, dress funny for a day, etc). These items are free and easy to come by. They just take a little time (or humility) from the donors.

Have fun with it and good luck!
