Should I take this offer for my Jeep?
Jeeper asked:
I am trying to sell a 2005 Jeep
Wrangler X with approximately 30,500 miles on it. It is in good condition and has the following extra options: 4.0L 6 cylinder engine, alloy wheels, air conditioning, and full metal doors. An offer of $14,000 was proposed to me. Should I take it? Please include sources, if possible.

I’m not sure what the prices are in your area, here in SoCal $14k would be on the lower end of the price range ($12 to 18k+ here) for similar years and models.
I would check a couple of sources in your area including the local paper, dealers, and especially for private party sales Craigslist, Kelly Blue Book and Auto Trader.
You’ll get a good deal of what the local prices are, but $14k sounds a bit low, unless you really need to sell if fast…

Heres another site not mentioned in the others this is a free post site so there are alot of vehicles etc for sale here check under SUVs, trucks, vans or type in jeep. It will give you a very good idea of prices in your area. Both usa and Canada listings The price you were quoted (I beleive) is low.

Thats way too low for that year and low milage….You must be talking about a dealership… you can get more from a private party…..Hang in there , don’t sell yet……….
