Sadly, my wife's father has died at a rather inconvenient time. I say this because in late November, some chums from the Raffles Club and I like to go on a boating expedition for a couple of weeks. We have a rip-roariously good time with gin, pork and ludicrous wagers.
Now this damned funeral. Would I be wrong in not attending? I want to go and have merriment on a boat, not sit there pretending to be mournful, for pity's sake. How can I get out of it?

Now this damned funeral. Would it be frowned upon if I didn't attend? I want to go and have a merriment on a boat, and not sit there pretending to be mournful, for pity's sake. How can I get out of it and spend my time without guilt, lolling around a boat, drinking gin and generally having a damn good wheeze?

There is going to be a car show, featuring California's Finest Clubs at the Santa Anita Race track on October 1st from 8am to 7pm. The cover charge will be $7 per person and children under 18 years of age will get in free. There will be Hot Rods, lowered Trucks and lifted Trucks, race cars, motorcyles & Street Bikes, and so much more. There will be Live entertainment by MC Tommy Gun and sick World Entertainment, Music abd Karoake, Karoake Contest. Cash Prizes and Trophies. A Raffle 50/50 tickets will be sold. We will raffle Salinas Tires, Custom Hood & Trunk Mirror Kits, Pro Series Hydraulics Kits & Pumps, Cases of Motor oil, 22' Spinners, Daytons w/tires, and lots of great stuff.
