fundraising ideas for college GSA?

Monday, May 17th, 2010

I’m looking for unique, easy fundraising ideas for the Gay/Straight Alliance (GSA) at my college. I’d like ideas other than bake sales, car washes, auctions, raffles, and selling candles. Ideas can also include games/activities to play.

Thanks!

College fundraiser ideas for student club?

Sunday, April 25th, 2010

I’m part of a international student club at a community college, and we were looking at options to do a fundraiser in benefit of a local organization that feeds the homeless.
Any original ideas?
We have done bake sales, and car washes. The provost suggested creating a cookbook with recipes of all the countries that represent our club. What do you think?
We are also organizing a conference with a host speaker, maybe sell raffle tickets during the event?

If I have been given a car, is it legal for me to raffle it off to pay for college tuition?

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

I heard about someone doing it. I live in Georgia and I am not sure if it is legal. I know that non-profits can do it but would my education be considered as such because it is for me? Could a donate a percent to a charitable donation??
This would really help me out. I would like to sell the ticket for around $100 apiece. Do you think anyone would be willing to buy?

If its illegal in this state, which states is it legal in?

If I didnt sell enough then I would refund everyone their money back.

Please do not try to analyze this, just tell me is it legal
