I came up with a brilliant idea that is like ebay but with raffle tickets. The reason why I am putting it on here is because everyone told me I could not develop the site over gambling issues. This idea will give a chance for someone to win an item on a website for the price of a raffle ticket and it will give the person raffling the item a chance to make more money through the raffle tickets sold than the item is actually worth. If 5000 people around the world buy a raffle ticket for a home at 300.00 per ticket the person raffling the home will get $1,500,000.00 for a home thats only worth 500,000.00 this is just an example. This website can raffle anything from cars to homes to furniture etc... but does anyone know how I can put it to market without the legal issues of running such site?
This idea is in currently in the hands of a patent attorney that specializes in business ideas.

If I had a website and I raffled houses, vehicles, throughout the internet (worldwide) for a profit, with raffle tickets sold thru the website, would it be legal or would I have to abide by each state laws?

I am part of a non-profit organization and we have a 2008 Mercedes Benz to auction off to raise funds for our cause (education/public schools). I have done the typical press releases in the local papers but I wanted to also do something online - I tried craiglist but you can't post raffles their site. Does anyone know where I can post information about this without getting flagged for deletion? I have it posted on our website www.kindfaitheducationfoundation.org but unless someone knows where to go to see it they wont find it. Any ideas would be appreciated greatly. Thanks.
