Can I Raffle My Truck Instead Of Selling It?

I live in Arizona and thought raffling off my truck would be a great way to generate extra money versus just selling it at face value. But was told most states don’t allow this… Does anyone know the laws on this? Thanks

Probably not, based on the gambling rules in Arizona.
Skill and not chance is clearly the predominant factor in the game and the odds of
winning the game based upon chance cannot be altered, provided the game complies
with any licensing or regulatory requirements by the jurisdiction in which it is
operated, no benefit for a single win is given to the player or players other than a
merchandise prize which has a wholesale fair market value of less than four dollars
or coupons which are redeemable only at the place of play and only for a
merchandise prize which has a fair market value of less than four dollars and,
regardless of the number of wins, no aggregate of coupons may be redeemed for a
merchandise prize with a wholesale fair market value of greater than thirty-five
    dollars.http://www.azag.gov/consumer/Statutes.pd…

You will probably make less money on it, unless it is some kind of spectacular truck. Here’s a site to take a look at regarding AZ Raffle lawshttp://www.azag.gov/consumer/agrforms.ht…

Raffling your vehicle off is gambling in AZ. You could get in big trouble for running an illegal game of chance.
